Material Donations
We love that we are supported by a community who loves us! If you are interested in donating an item to Chillicothe Civic Theatre, we ask that you look through our information below.
Always, the best donations you can give us are your time, and the second best donation is your money. Chillicothe Civic Theatre has a standing work day on the fourth Saturday of every month during which we paint and care for the theatre and organize the warehouse.
While we appreciate all offers, due to our storage restraints we are unable to accept all items we are offered.

Yes, Please
We will always accept the following items in good to excellent condition:​
Construction items

Lumber, especially 2x4s 4' or longer, paint, paint brushes and rollers
Costume pieces

That reflect a specific period, are extended sizes, are solid colored button down shirts, are scarves, or jewelry that will "read from stage", uniforms, gloves, childrens' jazz shoes, adult character shoes.
Fabric, lace, and sewing notions.

At least one yard for fabric, please. But curtains and tablecloths can also make great costume pieces!
Household items

Storage bins, especially 10 gallon or larger

Toilet paper

Paper towels

Soap Refills

Sanitizer

Large black garbage bags

Glassware, porcelain, and other breakables. Plastic items that look like glassware are generally preferred for actor safety.

​Cotton clothing, especially plain brightly colored t-shirts.

Wigs.

Furniture, especially if you do not mind if it is modified or it is a nice settee.

Large framed art.

Unless specifically requested by a director, we cannot accept the following items:

Real furs - we just have far too many and they are rarely used.

These items are unable to be stored in our warehouse, which is not climate-controlled.
